About me…

In a strange twist of Covid events, I moved from Downtown Los Angeles to Whiskeytown, California, with a feral cat and a dog rescued from the streets of Tijuana, to commune with birds. I received an MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University. My fiction has previously appeared in The Oddville Press, The Latino Book Review Magazine 2020, The Oakland Review, Sonora Review, Badlands Literary Journal, and Chicago Literary.

My Poetry has appeared in Autumn Sky Poetry, Ekphrastic Review and “Anthem: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen.”

In 2014, I was awarded First Place in the Sonora Review Short Story Contest judged by Matt Bell for my story “Animal Encounters.”

In 2008, I was the recipient of the Elizabeth George Foundation grant for emerging writers.

Bringing calm to elements enraged, no man knew me to be anything other than  wooden, flesh-coloured, sacred and divine.”
